STAFFORDSHINE UNIVERSITY UNIVERSITY PARTNERS WITH NATURE FIRST TO PROTECT BIODIVERSITY

Nature FIRST Welcomes Staffordshire University as Consortium Member

Staffordshire University, an award-winning British public university, has joined Nature FIRST as a Consortium Member. Over the next three years, together with 12 global partners, they will develop tech solutions based on forensic intelligence and remote sensing technologies for nature conservation.

Staffordshire University has more than 100 years of history. It is well-known for research in computing and forensics, as well as its educational programs in business, security, engineering and healthcare. According to Research Excellence Framework 2021, 87% of its research impact is 'outstanding' or 'very considerable'.

Together with 11 partners, Staffordshire University will work on tech solutions that would help to find cause-effect relationships in declining biodiversity and better understand changes in the environment. Among other Consortium Members are 3EDATA INGENIERIA AMBIENTAL SL, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Danube Delta National Institute for Research and Development, DotSpace, Semantic Web Company (SWC), Sensing Clues (coordinator), Sustainable Scale-up Foundation, Wageningen University & Research, Wildlife Forensic Academy, and WWF.
