Nature FIRST Final Conference

  • Ouwehands Dierenpark Rhenen 111 Grebbeweg Rhenen, UT, 3911 AV Netherlands (map)

Innovation and Collaboration in Conservation

As we conclude the Nature FIRST project, we invite you to an exciting gathering of conservationists, researchers, policymakers, and innovators. This conference is not just the end of a project but the beginning of new networks, partnerships, and transformative ideas in biodiversity conservation. We’ll showcase the nature conservation tools developed within Nature FIRST and explore collaborative solutions for human-wildlife coexistence. Together, we can create impactful initiatives that continue well beyond this event.

Hosted in collaboration with Bears in Mind, a Dutch foundation providing a sanctuary for rescued bears at Het Berenbos in Ouwehands Dierenpark, this conference is a unique gathering of conservation leaders, researchers, policymakers, and innovators.

This conference focuses on four key pillars:

  • Biodiversity Monitoring

  • Human-wildlife Conflict Solutions (including wildlife radars and forensic evidence collection)

  • Habitat Mapping & Monitoring

  • Knowledge Graph for smarter conservation

Join us in The Netherlands on June 25-26, 2025, to discover engaging interactive booths that highlight the outputs of the Nature FIRST project. Take part in hands-on workshops tailored to our core tracks and connect through matchmaking sessions designed to cultivate valuable partnerships—all within a unique setting that blends conservation themes with nature.
