IX European Congress of Mammalogy (ECM9)

The IX European Congress of Mammalogy (ECM9) is a premier gathering for mammalogists across Europe and beyond. Organized by the Hellenic Zoological Society, the European Mammal Foundation, and Mammal Conservation Europe, ECM9 will convene in the vibrant city of Patras, Greece, from March 31 to April 4, 2025.

The congress will cover a comprehensive range of topics in mammalian biology, including:

  • Genetics, Evolution, and Phylogeography

  • Conservation Biology

  • Population Dynamics

  • Impact of Climate Change

  • Urban Ecology

  • Human-Mammal Interactions

  • Zoonoses

  • Innovative methodologies for mammal monitoring

Alexandra Sallay-Mosoi from WWF Romania, and participant of Nature FIRST, will organise and chair the session "Translocation, Relocation and Rewilding”.

ECM9 offers an excellent opportunity for researchers, conservationists, and students to share the latest scientific advances, discuss conservation strategies, and explore innovative solutions to contemporary challenges in mammalogy. The congress aims to foster collaboration, strengthen professional networks, and promote the conservation of mammal species across Europe.
